DragonSword Awakening Team Builder Guide - Plan Signal Skill Chains

Updated 2026-07-26

Quick answer

The DragonSword Awakening Team Builder lets you select three characters, compare their verified Status Ailments and see whether the current database contains an officially documented handoff between them.

It does not calculate damage or declare a universal best team. A missing verified link means the database lacks enough evidence for that transition; it does not prove the team is weak.

How to choose a three-hero team

Use the three selectors to choose different characters. The result updates after each change and the current selection is written to the URL, so the team can be shared.

Start with one goal:

  • reproduce an officially demonstrated chain;
  • compare the Status Ailments covered by three characters;
  • identify which selected character still lacks verified skill data;
  • create a link to discuss a team with another player.

For complete lineup recommendations and encounter context, begin with the Teams and team comps hub. The tool is the evidence checker, not the recommendation article.

What Known Statuses means

Known Statuses counts the distinct Status Ailments currently associated with the selected characters in the structured database.

The official Castella, Lute and Aria showcase currently covers:

  • Break
  • Stun
  • Knockdown
  • Burn
  • Airborne

The count only includes recorded release-build evidence. It is not a complete list of every possible skill effect unless the character profile has been fully verified.

Use the Status Ailment database to read each condition separately.

A Verified Link is a directional handoff demonstrated or explicitly described by an official source. The tool does not create a link merely because two characters share a status.

The current official closed loop is:

Castella -> Lute -> Aria -> Castella

The official preview demonstrates this sequence:

  1. Castella opens with Break and Stun.
  2. Lute continues with Stun and Knockdown.
  3. Aria adds Burn and Airborne.
  4. The offensive opportunity returns to Castella.

That makes it a documented mechanics example, not an official balance verdict.

Possible reasons include:

  • the selected heroes have not appeared together in an official showcase;
  • the release-build Signal Skill conditions are not yet recorded;
  • a profile has official biography data but incomplete combat text;
  • the team works through Gear, Karma, execution or a condition not yet represented.

Do not read 0 Verified Links as 0 synergy. It means 0 links currently supported by the published evidence model.

What Incomplete Profiles means

This count identifies selected characters whose status coverage or combat profile remains partial. The tool keeps these gaps visible instead of inventing a complete build.

How to share a team

Every selection is stored in the query string:

/tools/team-builder?a=castella&b=lute&c=aria

Use Copy team link to copy the current URL. Anyone opening it receives the same three characters, provided those character IDs still exist.

Current coverage

The MVP includes seven structured characters and all nine official Status Ailment categories. Some characters have complete official combat relationships; others only have partial release-build profiles.

What the tool does not calculate

The current version intentionally does not provide:

  • damage-per-second estimates;
  • Gear or Karma optimization;
  • boss resistance simulation;
  • automatic strongest-team scores;
  • unverified Signal Skill conditions;
  • account-level owned-character tracking.

Those features would create false precision without complete skills, stats, enemy data and versioned equipment records.

For resource investment, use the Builds hub and character investment priority.
