DragonSword: Awakening 1.0 Global Release Date

Updated 2026-07-24

Global Release Date and Time

DragonSword: Awakening is available worldwide on Steam. The announced target was July 23, 2026 at 07:00 KST / July 22, 2026 at 15:00 PT, but Steam review caused a delay; Hound13 announced the game as live on July 23, 2026 at 12:36 KST (03:36 UTC).

If you see a different date on a store page, it reflects the timezone conversion rather than a staggered launch. For example, July 22 in the Americas is the same moment as July 23 in Korea.

Editions and Launch Bonuses

The game is available in two editions on Steam:

  • Standard Edition ($29.99) โ€“ includes the full base game.
  • Deluxe Pack ($19.99 in the checked US store) โ€“ a separate DLC with the digital artbook, original soundtrack and exclusive Familiar "Brave Baby Dragon." With the $29.99 base game, the current US total is $49.98.

The game can now be purchased directly on Steam. The US store currently lists the Standard Edition at $29.99.

Free Launch Familiar

From July 23 through August 31, 2026, all players can claim the Abyssal Direwolf Familiar DLC at no cost. After August 31, it will return to its standard price.

Post-Launch Content Plans

While the page focuses on the release date, Hound13 has outlined a roadmap for the second half of 2026:

  • Four new heroes (Ryza, Jerome, Veronica, Logan) will be added as free updates.
  • Hero Quests and a Rift System for additional combat content.
  • Quality-of-life improvements including camera adjustments, gamepad support, and UI hide/photo mode.
  • Costume DLCs for five characters, with more planned post-launch.

Hound13 says the former gacha mechanics were removed and that playable heroes and core content are earned through play. Optional Costume and Familiar DLC are sold separately.
