DragonSword Awakening Chapter 6 Mural Door Puzzle & Ropi Route
Updated 2026-07-28
Quick answer
The DragonSword Awakening Chapter 6 mural door does not use a lever hidden outside the ruin. The route shows one mural earlier, then asks you to reproduce that arrangement at the later door mechanism. Treat the first wall as the visual key.
The reliable Chapter 6 order is:
- take Ewald's letter to Ropi's old cabin;
- clear the monsters around the cabin;
- place the letter and finish the cabin scene;
- follow the current meeting and dialogue objectives;
- continue through the ruin until the first mural is identified;
- record its arrangement with a screenshot or notes;
- reproduce that layout at the later inner-door mechanism;
- continue when the door opens.
This page owns the Chapter 6 puzzle and Ropi route. For the complete campaign sequence, use the Chapters 1–8 walkthrough.
Start Chapter 6 with Ewald's letter
After the northern operation and fortress events, return to Ewald. He believes Ropi may still be near Orbis and asks the party to leave a letter at the cabin where Ropi previously stayed.
Travel to the old cabin and clear the monsters gathered around it. Enter after the area is safe, place the letter in the visible location and inspect the room until the scene advances. Do not wait outside for an NPC to walk up and physically collect it.
Ropi appears as part of the cabin sequence and provides information that moves the party toward the next meeting. If the objective has not changed, check that you completed the interior interaction rather than only defeating the enemies outside.
Follow the meeting markers instead of returning to Orbis
After reporting the response, follow the active travel and conversation objectives. Chapter 6 contains a long character-driven section involving Ewald, Ropi, the Six Heroes and the growing True Dragon threat.
The easiest way to lose the route is to keep revisiting the palace, Guild or cabin after the marker has moved elsewhere. Use the current objective as the authority. The story sequence, not a general city activity, controls progression here.
Ropi later asks Lute to leave with him. Lute refuses because he wants to remain with people he can protect. In the documented route, this is a scripted scene rather than a player choice:
- Lute stays with the party;
- there is no alternate map exit;
- no dialogue selection creates a Ropi route;
- the main objective continues after the conversation.
Where the mural clue appears
The ruin presents the clue before the locked inner door. When the party identifies or comments on the first mural, stop and record it.
Use one of these methods:
- take a screenshot that includes the entire wall;
- sketch the position of each visible symbol;
- count symbols from left to right and top to bottom;
- record any orientation differences rather than only the symbol shapes.
Do not assume the puzzle uses a universal text password. The evidence confirms the relationship between the two murals, but the text source does not preserve a trustworthy symbol-by-symbol transcription.
How to open the Chapter 6 mural door
At the later room, inspect the mural or mechanism associated with the inactive inner door. Reproduce the arrangement from the earlier wall.
Use this procedure:
- reset your camera so the whole mechanism is visible;
- compare the number and position of interactive sections with the earlier mural;
- adjust one section at a time;
- compare orientation as well as symbol identity;
- pause after each full pass and listen for party dialogue or mechanism feedback;
- correct mismatched positions rather than repeatedly rotating everything;
- continue through the door when the opening animation completes.
The important distinction is copy the arrangement, not “activate every symbol.” A mechanism can contain all the right symbols but remain incorrect when their positions or orientations do not match the reference.
What not to do
Do not leave the ruin looking for a switch
The clue is supplied within the same route. An exterior lever, separate quest item or unrelated statue is not required by the documented solution.
Do not use a random symbol order from another language
A screenshot may be mirrored, cropped or captured from a different camera angle. Match spatial relationships, not a copied list that cannot be verified against your screen.
Do not confuse the mural with an Eona's Legacy sigil puzzle
Eona's Legacy towers also use stone stands and sigils, but Chapter 6 is a story-ruin mural problem. Use the Eona's Legacy locations guide for tower puzzles; do not transfer those answers into this door.
Do not restart because Ropi's offer has no choice prompt
The offer is part of the story. Lute's refusal is the expected route.
If the door still will not open
Check these in order:
- Earlier clue missed: return to the first mural if the route still allows it and capture the complete arrangement.
- One section rotated incorrectly: compare orientation, not only the icon.
- Incomplete combat state: clear enemies that keep the room in combat and prevent interaction.
- Wrong mechanism: confirm you are at the later inner door, not an unrelated wall puzzle.
- Objective not advanced: finish the Ropi and meeting conversations before assuming the ruin is active.
- Patch issue: verify the current version and restart from the latest checkpoint only after checking the route state.
If the room is interactive but the arrangement is uncertain, use a screenshot comparison rather than brute-forcing every possible state.
What Chapter 6 establishes about Ropi
The chapter identifies Ropi as an important figure from the Six Heroes' generation and connects him personally to Lute. It also establishes that Lute does not accept a simple betrayal explanation for Ropi's disappearance.
What the chapter does not settle:
- Ropi's complete motive;
- whether he is working with the Dragon Cult;
- whether his offer to Lute hides another objective;
- his relationship to the later operation at Eona's Legacy;
- whether future updates will turn his unresolved route into a separate chapter.
Keep those questions open rather than presenting Ropi as a confirmed final villain.
Continue after the door
Opening the mural door completes the main physical blocker in this route. Continue through the ruin and follow the True Dragon response objectives. The next chapter moves toward faction intelligence, Alboin's research and preparation for the final operation.

Evidence boundary
The source walkthrough confirms the cabin-letter sequence, the scripted Ropi conversation and the rule that the earlier mural opens the later door. It does not provide a reliable text representation of every symbol. This guide therefore explains the reproducible solving method without inventing an exact symbol code.
