DragonSword Awakening Treasure & Collectibles Map Guide

Updated 2026-07-24

What treasure activities are confirmed?

The released Steam achievement list confirms that DragonSword: Awakening tracks several separate treasure activities:

  • opening a Treasure Chest;
  • opening more Treasure Chests;
  • using a Treasure Map;
  • opening every Treasure Chest inside a dungeon;
  • interacting with a suspicious chest activity.

The Steam store also describes secret cellars beneath watchtowers, hidden caves, dungeons and treasure-filled deep seas. Together, those sources support an exploration routine even though they do not publish a complete coordinate list.

Start with the map guide hub if you also need Waypoints, quests or puzzles.

Treasure-search route

Use this order when entering a new area:

  1. Activate the nearest Waypoint. Secure a return point before taking long detours.
  2. Follow the active objective until the local route is open. Some side spaces may depend on story or quest progress.
  3. Sweep vertical spaces. Look above and below your current level, especially near towers, cliffs, caves and waterways.
  4. Check side rooms before a dungeon transition. The dungeon achievement specifically rewards finding every chest inside a dungeon.
  5. Use Treasure Maps instead of hoarding them. A dedicated achievement confirms they are intended to be used.
  6. Record stable landmarks for anything missed. Gates, bridges, towers, water and quest text are more reproducible than an unlabeled screenshot.

For faster returns, use the Waypoints and fast travel guide.

Dungeon chest checklist

Before leaving a dungeon:

  • check rooms branching off the main route;
  • inspect lower and upper floors visible from the central path;
  • look behind arena exits and around gate mechanisms;
  • finish interactions that may open a previously blocked branch;
  • confirm whether the boss or objective transition will close the current route;
  • note the dungeon name and current patch if a chest counter appears incomplete.

The achievement wording confirms a full-dungeon chest objective, but it does not reveal the chest count for each dungeon.

Treasure Maps

Steam’s public achievement In Search of Hidden Treasure says β€œUsed a Treasure Map.” That safely confirms Treasure Maps are usable exploration items.

What public sources do not yet establish:

  • where every Treasure Map drops;
  • whether each map points to a fixed or variable location;
  • the reward table;
  • whether maps can be repeated;
  • the exact interaction required at the destination.

When following a community Treasure Map route, match the item name, quest state, nearby landmark and current game version before treating the location as universal.

Hidden cellars, caves and deep-sea routes

The official store description gives useful search categories:

EnvironmentPractical check
watchtowersinspect entrances below or behind the visible tower structure
cavescheck paths that descend from the main road or continue behind combat spaces
dungeonsclear branches before the boss or exit transition
waterways and deep-sea areaslook for lower approaches and routes that are not visible from the main elevation
cliffs and elevated ruinscompare the minimap direction with vertical access, not only straight-line distance

These are search patterns, not exact coordinates.

How to evaluate a chest screenshot

A screenshot is useful when it shows:

  • the HUD minimap;
  • a stable landmark;
  • the current objective or dungeon name;
  • the route entrance rather than only the final chest;
  • the game version or capture date.

A cropped image of a chest with no route context is not enough to establish a repeatable map location.
